CARE
Compassion literally means to suffer with. God suffered with us through Jesus’ death on the cross. The New Testament encourages the church to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. Pastors care for the congregation in seasons of joy and struggle through visits, calls, and concern. The Care Ministry Team puts compassion into action in often unseen but profoundly meaningful ways. The Care Ministry Team distributes handmade prayer shawls, Sunday morning flowers, and notes of encouragement to those grieving, homebound, in military service, or struggling. Please contact Pastor Lara if you are interested in participating in one of the following groups.

BLESSING BUNCH
In an increasingly digital world, a handwritten card is a surprising physical reminder that God sees and cares for you. Blessing Bunch members write notes of encouragement, condolence, or congratulations. Christmas Cards are sent to homebound members, those in military service, and those bereaved in the past year.

FLOWER miNISTRY
Flowers are an ancient Christian symbol of resurrection. Like the fallen seed buried in the ground now coming to new life in a beautiful bloom, flowers remind us of Christ’s death and resurrection. Flowers remind us of the promise that God will take all that has died and bring beautiful new life from it. Our Flower Ministry rearranges the Sunday worship flower arrangement into new small bouquets to be delivered to the homebound, ill, or bereaved.

MARTHA MINISTRY
Death is a tender and sacred time for a family. Martha Ministry generously provides a family meal or reception following memorial services for church members. They also arrange Meal Trains for members following surgery, illness, or the birth of a child. Martha Ministry offers tangible loving care in some of the most distressing times of life.
