MUSIC

Beauty connects us with the transcendent Triune God. Our music ministries create something beautiful to glorify God, to draw us beyond ourselves, and to connect us more deeply to God and one another. Our music ministries are some of the most faithful small groups in the church. They care for one another in seasons of joy and sorrow as they gather to use their gifts to lead others in glorifying God. Whether ringing bells, singing in a chorus, or playing the guitar, all of our music ministries are a cherished gift.

Sanctuary Choir

Choral music draws us into the glory and wonder of God. First Pres Salisbury is blessed to be led in worship by a talented choir who join their voices to create moments of encounter with God through leading traditional Sanctuary worship on Sunday mornings. The choir is a rich community growing in faith and musical service together. Typically, the Sanctuary Choir practices on Wednesday evenings. Our Director of Music is Teresa de Fritas.

LCW Praise Team

Contemporary Christian Worship creates a personal encounter with God’s presence through modern songs that speak to our current time. In our LCW Praise Team, our musicians find a home sharing their gifts with others to honor God. This style of music draws from current types of popular music, such as rock, jazz, and folk. Join our Praise Team to watch what God will do with your musical gifts. Typically, LCW Praise Team rehearses on Thursday evenings. Our LCW Praise Team is led by Blaine Smith and Judy Mabe.

Bell Tower Ringers

Handbell choir creates moments of deep resonance through the beauty of their music and through the marvel of a community in creation together. They love adding new members, however, the skill of reading music is needed. Every spring, our handbell choir hosts a Handbell Festival weekend with a professional guest clinician that attracts many handbell choirs from our region. Handbell Festival Brochure 2025

Children Choir

We learn best through song. The children’s choir program teaches children the basic principles of music while they learn the basic principles of our faith. The Children’s choir serves children ages 3 to 5th grade, and meets as part of our Wednesday evening First Kids program. Children’s choir usually sings once per month in worship (Sanctuary and Life Center). They also perform a Christmas pageant with special music during our Advent Season. AV Team

Our Audio Visual Ministry Team creates connection where it once could not have existed. They manage and run the technology required to livestream worship to those who are homebound, hospitalized, or traveling. They run the sound for Life Center Worship, church ministries, guest events, and more. If you are interested in AV or perhaps just a little “techy”, come join their team. The Captain for our AV Team is Mike Drinkard.
